no more "Busch whackers" - what do we call them now?

    How about the Nationwide Nerfs?
I'd bet most of the full-time drivers would like to punt those guys into next week, but that just isn't possible.

The Busch series racing name got changed from Busch to Nationwide this year--different sponsorship--like Winston Cup to Nextel Cup.

Re: no more "Busch whackers" - what do we call them now?

i think the drivers simply use the nationwide series for 2 reasons:
    1) they love to race. the love and money is addictive.
    2) extra practice sessions. running 300 miles on saturday can't hurt if they have a 500 miler at the same track on sunday.

people like clint bowyer, carl edwards, and kyle busch are still young in their careers. this extra racing only will help them to develop as a driver. let's face it, the nationwide series would have 120,000 people buying tickets at daytona and bristol if many of the big names weren't in the races.

It's not just that but I agree with you on some of your points. Harvick running full time this year! The only reason why is he's the best driver he has for his team! He's trying to win a championship for KHI...

exactly. there's nothing wrong with KHI winning a title. it's business. if Harvick and the lovely Delana wins a title this year, look at the sponsorship opportunities that will follow down the road. i know Reeces sponsors him primarily, but down the road he and delana can just set themselves up nicely.
